Azon gondolkoztam, hogy valami házimunkát kéne csinálnom, mondjuk takarítani, vagy mosni, de gondolni rá – eddig jutottam csak. Terveztem, hogy találomra, meglepetésszerűen rögtönözök egy „szurkolói napot”. Talán elmehettünk volna a szökőkúthoz fagyizni, beszélgetni, nevetgélni, fotózni, stb. Még a fagyist is megkértem volna, hogy egy órára beszálljak a pult mögé, de lehet nem bízták volna rám a fagyijukat.
Srácok, tudjátok mi történt Z-Town-ban? BEJUTOTTUNK A DÖNTŐBE!!! Hosszú ez a szezon és sok mindent teljesítettünk, mint csapat és mint város, de van még egy akadály, amin túl kell jutnunk. Nem számít, hogy mindkét körben 3-0-al jutottunk tovább, mert az összes meccs kemény volt és a folytatás még durvább lesz. Először a Sopronnal, egy gyors csapattal játszottunk, majd egy erős, fizikai csapattal, a Szolnokkal – tehát felkészültünk mindenfajta stílusra, most már csak végre kell hajtani a feladatot. Bárcsak már ma elkezdhetnénk, de nem lehet – így legalább felhasználhatjuk az időt pihenésre és a következő ellenfélből való felkészülésre.
Lehetősége adódott csapatunknak visszatérni Siófokra és eltölteni ott egy kis időt. Ebben a szezonban jutottam el először fürdőbe. Nem vagyok biztos benne, hogy a mieink is ilyenek, mint itt Magyarországon, de utána fogok járni. Igazán pihentető időtöltés ez, habár most nem annyira a fürdőzéssel voltam elfoglalva, sokkal inkább a szobámba voltam, feküdtem a kanapén és tévéztem. Számomra ez is fontos pihenés volt, sokat aludtam, de masszázst is kaptam, sőt, jakuzziztam is. Mindezek ellenére a legjobb az volt, hogy amerikai reggelit ehettem. A vicces ebben az, hogy Siófokra való utazásunkat megelőző estén, Simivel az amerikai reggelikről beszélgettünk, és ő azt bizonygatta, hogy a reggelijeinknek semmi értelme, mivel reggel senki nem eszik palacsintát tojással és szalonnával. Szóval
ŐRÜLETES, hogy másnap pont palacsinta, tojás, szalonna, fánk és minden egyéb volt reggelire. Megettem vagy 3-4 tányérnyit! Rendkívül fontosak számomra az ilyen nemzetközi csapattársakkal folytatott beszélgetések, mivel ezek adják a legjobb tapasztalatot, ha idegen országban vagy sportoló. így aztán igazán meg tudod ismerni már országok és lakóik kultúráját és gondolkodásmódját.Azt hiszem az a pozitív a mi csapatunkban, hogy bárkivel lehet beszélni az élet dolgairól. Mindenki feszélyezetlenül tud a másikkal beszélgetni, mindegy hogy ők a nagy sztárok, mint Treppi és Kami, vagy a junior játékosok: „Bence (Bravo Bence), Beno (KisPapa) and Balazs (Veros)”. Ez nem olyan, amit megtalálsz bárhol, legalábbis az eddigi európai csapataimban nem volt ilyen. Nos, azt hiszem vissza kell térnem, és nekilátni megint a takarításhoz, aztán jöhet megint egy kis pihenő.
Ok, még valami Nyufi-hoz és a többiekhez. Anya szeretné tudni, hogy megkaphatja-e a „THERE'S ONLY 1 LOUIS HINNANT” zászlót. Sírni fog, ha nem-et mondtok. :-) Nem, csak viccelek…, vagy mégsem?

Whats up Z-Town?
It is Thursday May 13th, and I am sitting in my flat listening to the rain fall. It is pretty cold outside, and today we have a day off, but there is not much that I can do with this weather. So I thought hey why not write to you guys and see whats going on out there in your lives. I am thinking about doing some things around the house like cleaning and washing clothes, but thinking about is probably how far I will get lol. I had plans to surprise you all with a random Fan Appreciation Day today. I thought maybe we could go to the center at the fountain and have ice cream and talk, laugh, take photos and stuff for a little while. I was going to even ask the people at the ice cream stand if I could work the stand for an hour or so and serve the ice cream, they probably should not trust me with their ice cream lol.
Oh yea did you guys here about what happened in Z-Town? WE ARE GOING TO THE CHAMPIONSHIP!!! Wow it has been a long season, and we have accomplished many things as a team and as a city, but there is still one more obstacle that we need to get over. It does not matter that we won our first two series by 3-0 because all of the games were very tough, and the championship round will be even tougher. We played a fast team in Sopron in the first round, and we played a strong and physical team in Szolnok in the second round, so I think that we are prepared for any style of basketball, but now we just have to go out and get the job done. I wish that we could start playing today, but unfortunately we can't, so we must use this time to rest and prepare for our next opponent.We had the chance to go back to Siofok again as a team and spend some time there. This season has been my first time going to spas. I am not sure that we have the same type of spas that you have here in Hungary, but now I will try to find out. It is really relaxing, this time I was not so active in moving throughout the spa, I spent a lot of time in the hotel room, laying on the couch watching TV. For me that was relaxing, I slept a lot, but I also did a few things like a massage and I spent some time in the jacuzzi. The best part for me was eating the more American style breakfast. It was funny to see it because the night before we went to Siofok, Simi and I were talking about the American style breakfast and he said that our breakfast foods don't make any sense and that you are not supposed to eat pancakes with eggs and bacon. So it was GREAT that the very next day they had pancakes, eggs, bacon, donuts and many other things. I had about 3 or 4 plates. For me, these discussions with your International teammates are the best and they are the most important part of the experience of being a sportsman in another country, because you can really understand the different cultures and ideas that people have in other places.
I think the good thing about our team is that there is no problem discussing life issues with any of our teammates. I think that everybody feels comfortable talking to everybody else on the team, whether it be the BIG STARS like Treppi or Kami to the junior players like Bence (Bravo Bence), Beno (KisPapa) and Balazs (Veros). This is not something that you find on every team, well at least none of the teams that I have been on in Europe so far. Well I am going to go back to thinking about washing clothes and cleaning my flat again. Then I will probably take a nap, and think about it some more. Oh yeah, to Nyufi and the crew lol...My mom wants to know can she have the "THERE'S ONLY 1 LOUIS HINNANT" banner. She will cry if you say no lol...No I am joking, or am I?
